This fall, nearly 300 Bay Area students have started learning at the new tech-focused Aspire Richmond Technology Academy, a public charter school serving kindergarten through fifth grade. This new school, launched by founding Principal Arlena Ford as part of Aspire Public Schools, offers innovative and independent learning through cutting-edge technology.
Arlena began her career as a public school teacher in east San Jose, Calif. and has served California’s public school students in additional roles including enrichment director, lead teacher, and as a co-principal. The demand for technology skills and success with blended learning inspired Arlena to launch the new Aspire Richmond Technology Academy. This campus will offer students the opportunity to develop unique skills such as computer coding at an early age to prepare them for the global job market that continues to grow in the areas of technology an innovation.
